The Daiya Foods project transformed a former furniture warehouse into is a vibrant, modern commercial space designed with functionality and style in mind. Bold color accents, sleek materials, and clean lines create an engaging atmosphere that balances energy with calm sophistication. Carefully chosen finishes and durable surfaces ensure longevity, while strategic lighting and thoughtful layout enhance flow and usability.
Incorporation of casual meeting spaces, a coffee lounge the envy of many high-end coffee shops, a zen room for relaxation and yoga and a exercise facility made return to the office an easy decision. Marketing kitchens, research and test kitchens along with a full R & D lab provide the heart of the action in this busy headquarters.
This design embodies Daiya’s brand identity, delivering a welcoming and efficient environment that reflects contemporary aesthetics and functionality. Flexibility and adaptability was key in the design of this office space and through the use of demountable walls we were able to completely reconfigure two departments with zero impact to drywall, flooring or ceilings.
This 400,000 sq ft. LEED-certified production and office facility in Burnaby is the first to receive this award for a combined office / food production facility and is the largest plant-based food manufacturing facility in Canada.
